2.16

We did a little outing on Sunday.
We went to visit my Dad's home to assess and see what we could do to make it compatible for moving home.
While this is just a photo of my dad, more importantly, it's my dad WALKING UP THE STEPS!!

2.10

We had Dad's 2 month post op appointment on Monday.
He was able to walk out of the house and to the car! Yay!!
The appointment went very well.
He needs to keep his brace on but is able to now unlock it and start using a bend.

Below is my Facebook post. It explains the flex. This is very important and will impact his future tremendously.
Keep those continued prayers!

While my dad is physically progressing, his meds and emotions were crazy.
I managed to get him an appointment with his primary care physician.
Three different facilities and 4 different docs prescribing meds, we didn't know if he was coming or going. It was nice to sit down with someone and get everything worked out.
I've already seen a huge difference in his well-being.
Despite the physical injury, the true pain and suffering from this accident has been eye opening.

Keep saying prayers.

After spending 2 full weeks in the home after being released from the hospital, we realized my dad wasn't necessarily progressing. He was receiving Physical Therapy daily but that's it.
He would just lay in bed the rest of the day. It wasn't at the fault of the home, necessarily, but they weren't a true rehab facility. Unfortunately, my dads emotions were preventing him from the want, as well. So Nate and I collaborated and decided the best place for him was home.

But not his home, my home. He still isn't able to be alone from a stability standpoint so he needed to come to our house.
Transition actually went really well.

We purchased this lift chair to make things easier.

And the girls are loving their "new" toys!
